My designs balance expressive visuals with clean, minimalist elements. I believe in clean logos and typefaces, which I pair with experimental, colourful, or textured visuals. I often incorporate my own art into my designs by designing logos by hand in my sketchbook, drawing illustrations, or making digital collages. I believe that a good design is carefully planned, timeless, original, and memorable.
My academic background is in media analysis. I received my undergraduate degree in Communications and Media Studies with a minor in English languages and Literature from Carleton University in 2023. I received my master’s degree in communications from Simon Fraser University in the spring of 2025. My master’s thesis examined the brand values conveyed by promotional materials associated with a Food Network TV show.
After analyzing communications and media for six years, I became interested in engaging with the field in a creative capacity. In the fall of 2025, I began the Graphic Design for Print and Digital Media program at Humber College.
The critical thinking skills, communication skills, and understanding of symbolism and language I developed throughout my studies inform my approach to design. I approach design from a perspective that is cognizant of the values conveyed by— and the emotions evoked by— visual mediums and language. I believe that research and pre-planning are essential to producing thoughtful and impactful work.
Besides art and design, I am passionate about sports. I grew up racing as a competitive swimmer; I competed as a varsity rower at Simon Fraser University; and as a Cross Country runner at Humber College. During my Cross Country season, we won a provincial championship and competed at nationals. I also enjoy watching sports. I follow Formula 1, baseball, American football, and women's soccer.
