Problem
Taking a vacation is supposed to be fun; it is supposed to be an opportunity to take a break from your regular life and to relax. But for people with allergies and other dietary restrictions, travelling can be stressful because it can be hard to locate viable food options. When travelling abroad, language barriers exacerbate the risk of eating at a restaurant because clearly communicating your dietary needs becomes difficult.
Solution
Design an app that makes travelling safer and easier for a person with dietary restrictions.
Concept
The FORAGE app helps users locate restaurants that suit their dietary needs. The app lets users:
- Add their allergies and food preferences to their profiles
- Locate restaurants that suit their dietary needs and assess their safety
- Create a custom allergy alert card in any language
- Read restaurant reviews from other users
